There are Newman place names dotted all round the country. At least four are in London, including:

• Newman Street north of Oxford Street immediately south of the Post Office Tower;
• Newman’s Court on the north side of Cornhill in the city (photo right)
• Newman House in Gower Street, south of Euston Road
• Newman Road on the north side of Barking Rd in London (Essex).

All can be found easily with Google Maps.

The history of these place names is not known (to this writer).
